Enrollment & programs

What ages and grades do you serve?

Infants through 5th grade at our Hollywood campus: infants and toddlers, preschool, free VPK and a private elementary school for kindergarten through 5th grade. We also offer Unique Academy, free hands-on training for grades 6–12.

Is VPK free?

Yes. Florida’s Voluntary Prekindergarten is free for eligible 4-year-olds. Get your Certificate of Eligibility from the Florida Family Portal and we’ll help you enroll.

How do I schedule a tour?

Request a tour on our website or call 954-987-1600. Our admissions team will contact you to set a day and time.

How much is tuition?

Tuition varies by program and scholarship. Call us at 954-987-1600 and we will give you exact numbers for your family.

What electives do you offer?

Spanish, phonics, math, kindergarten readiness and homework help, music, art, dance and drama, yoga, STEM, coding and robotics, and sports with our coach (including soccer), plus seasonal karate and Mommy & Me in the summer. Many electives can be covered at no cost to your family through grants and scholarships.

Scholarships

Do you accept scholarships?

Yes. We accept all Florida scholarships, including Step Up For Students (FES-EO, FTC, FES-UA and PEP), VPK and ELC School Readiness. Our administration can walk you through your options.

Do you accept the Unique Abilities scholarship (FES-UA)?

Yes. We accept FES-UA. When appropriate, reasonable accommodations are made based on each student’s documented educational needs, in collaboration with parents.

What do Step Up families need to do?

Make sure your child attends regularly and complete all required quarterly authorizations in the Step Up For Students portal. Missing either can affect scholarship eligibility.

Hours, attendance & pick-up

What are your hours?

Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Our office takes calls from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Elementary classes start at 8:30 am and VPK at 9:00 am.

How do I report an absence or late arrival?

All attendance matters are reported by email to records@yka1.com by 10:00 am: absences, tardies, early dismissals, vacations, appointments and doctor’s notes. Include your child’s full name, classroom or grade, the date and the reason. Please don’t rely on a verbal message to staff or teachers.

What if I’m late for pick-up?

There is a 15-minute grace period after dismissal (2:00 or 3:00 pm by program). After that, your child joins aftercare with a $25 daily fee. Aftercare ends at 6:00 pm; after that, the late fee is $25 plus $2 per minute.

Where can I see holidays and closures?

On our school calendar under Parents. One tap adds every date to your phone’s calendar.

School life

Are meals included?

Yes. Breakfast, lunch and snack are included and catered every day. Our menu has no pork and is peanut and tree nut free.

Are your teachers bilingual?

Yes. All of our teachers are bilingual in English and Spanish, and several speak other languages too.

What training do your teachers have?

Every teacher completes Florida’s DCF 45 Hours training and Level 2 background screening, and is CPR and First Aid certified. Many also hold a CDA credential, Teaching Strategies GOLD certification or a college degree.

What school supplies does my child need?

We have VPK, kindergarten and 1st grade supply lists under Parents. Tick items off as you shop or print the list.

How do I pay my invoices?

In the Parent Portal (login.pccsoft.com) you can view and pay invoices, change your payment method and download year-end tax statements. The first time, you need an invitation link from our office.
